Announced in 1983, first marketed Microsoft operating environment nemed Windows in november 1985 as an adjunct to MS-DOS in response to growing market interest in a graphical user interface. Microsoft Windows came to dominicate the PC market in the world, overtaking Mac OS, whitch had been introduced prior to Windows. in october 2009, Windows had approximately 91% of the market share of operating system on client computers that access the internet. the last versions of Windows is Windows 7 for desktop computers, Windows Server 2008 R2 server and Windows Mobile 6.5 for mobile devices.
